An interview with David Dockery, President of Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, US, about present struggles of Christian Higher Education in the US (and other places also, we would suggest).

He argues that the alternative to the secularization tendency in much higher education today cannot and should not be that of ‘fundamentalization’.
Also, to the option of the ‘two spheres model’, which aims to provide an excellent secular education in a Christian environment, he opposes the ‘integrationist model’, which aims at distinctively Christian education.
The final part of the interview, on the so-called ‘Christian economics’, is somewhat disconnected from the rest of the interview, but the first part of the text is worth reading.
